Let’s dive in!

Q: Rajan, could you share your journey and ambition to become a software engineer with us?

Since tenth grade, I’ve been deeply passionate about #softwareengineering. It’s been a lifelong dream of mine, and I’ve dedicated myself to honing my skills and staying abreast of emerging technologies. Yet, witnessing the tangible impact of my programming expertise truly drives and exhilarates me.

Q.  Could you tell us about your experience with Tntra?

My time at Tntra so far has been very fulfilling. I have worked on several projects across different industries and had good direct client interaction experience. These experiences have helped me expand my skill set and learn about new areas.

The culture at Tntra promotes adaptability and supports continuous learning. This has helped the #Tntraites like me to strengthen our skills and abilities.

Q.  Tell us one of your experiences working on a particular project.

I worked as a front-end developer for the 1000Farmacie project. It was a real game-changer. It taught me much about client interactions, from starting meaningful conversations to showcasing my skills effectively. As I began to engage with clients independently, I understood the importance of actively listening to their needs and providing valuable suggestions. This personalized approach helped me gain appreciation from the clients and fostered a strong rapport based on mutual understanding.

The project’s biggest challenge was dealing with a complex payment custom flow, which pushed me to my limits. Over the course of eight months, I refined the flow, iterating through nine versions to ensure its seamless functionality and optimal user experience.

Throughout this process, I learned the importance of iteration in achieving excellence and many other things. Each refinement brought us closer to a solution that not only met the client’s requirements. At this time, my colleague Dharmik Salakiya‘s expertise in backend development complemented my efforts. The refined payment flow enhanced user satisfaction and played a pivotal role in significantly improving 1000Farmacie’s sales targets. Overall, this project was a huge learning experience for me, and it’s one I’ll always remember fondly.

Q. What valuable insights did you gain from your onshore visit to Japan?

Traveling to Japan was one of the best experiences of my life, and it was undoubtedly one of the most enriching experiences. I got to dive deep into Japanese culture, learning a lot along the way. From observing how people interacted to understanding their thought processes, every moment was a lesson in cultural appreciation. It also helped me understand how Japanese people think, making communicating and working together easier. I noticed that Japanese people pay great attention to detail in everything they do, whether work or daily activities.

Beyond programming, my time in Japan broadened my horizons in many ways. Under the guidance of Hideyuki Tsushima, I learned the realms of sales and presales, gaining insights into effective communication and documentation practices. Crafting comprehensive documentation proved invaluable and enhanced my technical abilities and professional repertoire.

Going to client meetings with Tsushima San gave me a peek into the intricate world of Japanese professional etiquette.

In conclusion, my onshore travel to Japan changed how I see things and helped me grow professionally and personally. I learned the importance of respecting different cultures, being a good communicator, and being flexible in the global business environment.

Q: What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?

In my free time, I enjoy traveling to new places and cycling through the energetic streets of Ahmedabad to stay healthy. Cycling and seeing Ahmedabad on two wheels are good for maintaining health and fitness. Apart from this, I like to read books. More books are in the queue.

While I’ve explored many locations around Ahmedabad, I’m excited about discovering more destinations. I enjoyed camping at Bakor and Saputara. For a solo retreat, I ventured to Mussoorie, enjoying the tranquility of the mountains.

Looking ahead, I’m excited about the prospect of going on bike rides to famous adventure spots like Leh-Ladakh in the future. I eagerly await the thrill of exploring such rugged terrain and experiencing the raw beauty of nature.
